In a previous post I wrote about harnessing the power of technology to improve lives and increase effectiveness.

Two common themes for harnessing technology are:

1. Automating mundane tasks so there's more time to deal with complicated ones.


2. Surfacing problems early so there's more time to deal with them.

A good example of the first is shopping while waiting for a train.
